Beyond Zebra, Inc. was established in 2000 as a creative alternative to conventional promotional products companies. When The Walt Disney Company closed its in-house promotional products purchasing division, former employees Stacy Burleson and Terri Yamate-Ottengheime struck out on their own and founded BZI. The women brought BZI their experience in product development, retail buying, merchandising, sourcing and importing, manufacturing, design, and production.
