Beulah Free Will Baptist Church - Welcome Home
Description
Beulah Free Will Baptist Church was founded in 1964, in Beulah, Florida, by Brother R. H. Reddick. Although his position was originally recognized as only temporary, Brother Reddick was voted as the Church’s first pastor, and served as pastor until July 4, 1965, at which time Brother Lindbergh Bass assumed the pastorate position.
The Church later purchased four acres of property just up the road from its original building in February, 1967, for construction of a new church building. Construction began on December 27, 1967, and the first services were held in the new building on September 1, 1968. Significant growth was experienced during the next couple of years necessitating construction of a new 40’ x 40’ sanctuary which began on September 23, 1970. This building currently serves as our Sunday School building/fellowship hall.
July, 1972, marked the beginning of a new building fund for our present sanctuary, for which planning began in 1973. Construction of the present sanctuary began in November, 1974, and the first services were held on June 15, 1975. A dedication service for the new sanctuary was held on June 29, 1975, with eleven baptisms and "dinner on the grounds."
