A native of Laconia, Beth graduated from Laconia High School and attended the University of N.H. before marrying a West Point cadet and embarking on what has been a 22-year adventure that has taken them across the country and to Europe before landing them back in her home town six years ago.
That former cadet and now retired officer Jim Arsenault, an executive with Citizens Bank, and her four sons, Matt, Tim, Ben and Jon, are Beth's most ardent supporters, encouraging her to put to use in the public sector the vast experience she has gained as a wife, mother, part-time breadwinner and community activist.
"Each of us is so proud of my mom, and so confident that she'll bring the kind of common sense and reason to state government that we've benefited from as a family," says Tim Arsenault, who's running for a seat in the New Hampshire House. "When there's a problem or an issue, she's taught us through example to confront it head-on, which is something the state legislature could use right now."
