Bestforfilm.com is a internet website owned by Instant Access Technologies which focuses on critical reviews of films in both cinema release and DVD format. The films reviewed are international, ranging from mainstream blockbusters to foreign films and niche interest films categorised by genre. The critiques have a British slant, with British grammar and an independent approach to critique. Bestforfilm.com has an editorially-controlled rating system but comments are enabled for reader feedback.
History
Best For Film was launched in 2009 by Instant Access Technologies. When the British Government opted for the abolition of the UK Film Council in August 2010, Best For Film writer John Underwood responded with a petition to save the UKFC and a grassroots campaign was set up along with Facebook groups. Due to the petition's visibility John Underwood was featured on SkyNews.com in August 2010.
Best For Film's tagline is "Coming atcha like a souped-up Delorean". This is a reference to the car featured in the film 'Back To The Future' which allowed Marty McFly to return to his past and change history.
How It Works
Bestforfilm.com staff search for and compile published reviews from critical reviewers for movies, videos and games. The reviews are given a star rating, the highest being five stars, and users are encouraged to leave their own critiques and feedback in comments.
The site also notes which of the film reviews are most popular, having garnered the most number of readers. That is not to say the films themselves are popular - a review that rated a movie two or less stars could still be considered popular.

In addition to movie reviews, Bestforfilm.com also features film trailers, polls, DVD competitions, comments and an opinionated film features blog.

Best For Film has more UK reviewers and is aimed at a UK audience.

Best For Film has announced that it is going to launch dynamic UK cinema listings for all Vue, Odeon, Empire and Cineworld cinemas in the UK in September 2010.
