Lance McInnes has been head instructor of Bendigo and Central Victoria Kyokushin Karate club for 25 years. He is the only original student still training here in Bendigo from when the club was first formed in 1969.
Shihan has travelled internationally to participate in training seminars, camps, gradings and observe the Japan World Tournament, has judged & refereed at state, national and international championship tournaments. To add to this, Shihan has hosted state tournaments and training camps.
Kyokushin Karate was founded by Masutatsu (Mas) Oyama, known as Sosai. Sosai held a 10th dan Black Belt. Sadly, Oyama passed away in 1994 aged 70 years.
