Who and what is Beginnings Church?
In the Fall of 1999, founding Pastor Dana Hicks and his family moved to Tucson with the vision of starting a church for people who do not like church. As they met with neighbors and acquaintances, they were able to find like minded people to help them with the vision. On Easter of 2000, after a direct mail campaign, they launched at Soleng Tom Elementary School in East Tucson. Today, Beginnings Church has become one of the most innovative churches in Tucson. Many having little or no church background have been able to grow their souls in a place of acceptance and health. Since day one, the purpose of Beginnings Church has not changed, "...we exist to honor God by making more and better disciples for Jesus Christ for the sake of the world."
