Title
Welcome BECS members
Description
BECS (Boeing Employees’ Computing Society) was founded in 1978, when a number of Boeing employees formed a Boeing- sponsored society, interested in building their own computers, learning more about software programs and facilitate the exchange of information. BECS activities are at the Kent Activity Center in Kent at 22643 83rd Ave S.
BECS keeps members current on new developments and helps them solve computer and software problems. Not only are we concerned with computer education but our SIGs provide a forum about many aspects of computers, software and related areas of interest. Our meetings also are a source of friendship and fellowship with people who have common interests.
General Meeting: These meetings are every third Monday of the month in Room D and often feature software and hardware representatives from companies within the industry, such as Microsoft, Intuit, Adobe, Intel, Apple, etc. The presentations are intended to inform members about new products and educate them on computing techniques. Door prizes are a regular feature of these meetings and discounts on software may be offered.
