Chief Timothy P. Deems is the leader of the largest municipal police department in Southern West Virginia. He has served the citizens of Beckley for over 16 years. Prior to assuming his current position, he served the Beckley Police Department as a Patrolman, Precinct Commander, Shift Commander and Chief of Narcotics. Timothy P. Deems was sworn in as a police officer for the City of Beckley in 1991 where he worked in the Patrol Division.
