We provide you with the tools to build a targeted profile, to advertise your services, to analyse your profile and its completely free to sign up.
The sign up process is straight forward, and requires the following:
1. Standard details including a unique username and strong password 2. . Your main area of expertise - Select and update details about your core skill / main area of expertise 3. . Trade/Company information - such as trade name, history, qualifications.
A basic profile must at least have steps 1 and 2 completed, you can alway revisit and update trade/company information.
Core skills
Once you are logged in, under the My account tab, there is a heading called Core skills.
From here further core skills can be added and used to identify your different areas of expertise. In total 8 core skills can be defined and elaborated upon. The core skills are all highlighted and displayed within your public profile, which will give all of your potential clients this information as well.
Up to 6 photos can be attached to each core skill area, primarily useful for display and demonstration purposes.
Each added core skill is registered within the system and the system will automatically add these to the trades and email alerts sections of your account. This will allow you to set up custom alerts for any jobs that come in that match the core skills you add.
Core skills and Professions explained
Core skills The core skills facility allows for up to 8 different areas of your expertise to be highlighted within the building field. All core skills can be elaborated on and can have up to 6 photos attached, allowing for a micro-site to be built around your skill set.
These core skills can be found by any one searching the site that needs specific work done,the searches done will also match the context of titles or descriptions from any of your core skills.Core skills appear under trades, when a sub core skill is clicked the site will reverse the orders and show the clicked skill properly.
Professions
We realise that a company or an individual may be an expert in more than just the provided 8 core skills, this is why we have provided the professions facility.
The professions facility allows any or all of the different categories selectable as a core skill to also be added to your profile. It would be too much to ask for information for each skill, so rather than any actual descriptions the headings of your specialties will appear in your profile and will appear in any search done that match that skill.
Email alerts
After the registration process is complete, you can define custom email alerts. The system is designed so as to match your postcode against the work that has been posted, so that only work relevant for your location is displayed. It wouldn't be very helpful to provide you clients that are in London, if you happen to be based in Edinborough, however you may be able to cover vast distances. This is why you can define alert ranges and there a total of 5 possible alerts for postcode / place that can be defined.
This system is completely global, it works just as well in the UK as it does in the US as it does in Japan, however we cannot do exact post code matches globally currently. The countries highlighted in green have exact post code matches, It is important for those outside of the supported postcode system to find the closes location of residence using the auto complete feature. We are continuously working on this list and will try to have a complete postcode match globally in place soon.
Accessing Your Profile
All accounts have a unique public profile attached, this can be quickly accessed by visiting the following location:

All username's have a sub-domain automatically created for them, this will instantly load your profile and your mini-site.
Profile statistics/counter
Each profile is equipped with a counter, when logged in further statistics are available,
such as access details by date and location, simply click the counter whilst logged in.
Each profile also has a public rating system, this is so that you can build your reputation and build trust with clients. Each job you carry out is rated by the person that requested the work along with some relevant feedback. This is added up with every advert accepted and a summary is provided. If the percentage field is clicked from within the rating system it will load up all jobs accepted and the comments provided with each individual rating.
Manually Searching for listed jobs
You can search for listed jobs by clicking the Find Jobs heading on the top menu bar. Within the search feature you can define Country. Place/location - Then use the distance radius to find work within the selected city. Postcode/zipcode- Then use the distance radius to find work within the selected postcode.
The service is completely global, we currently support post code matching within 8 countries they are highlighted in green within the menu system. We are working on implementing a completely a global post code matching service, however we can still match by city / location.
