Borehamwood Community Partnership
Description
I have recently become Chair of the Borehamwood Community Partnership (BCP) Council and thought it useful to reflect on the good work already achieved by the previous Chair, Jon O’Connor, with his energy and ideas, and to reflect on where we are now.
In 1998 the BCP won £2.727 million of Single Regeneration Budget (SRB) to fund projects to improve the lives of people in Borehamwood.
The Community Partneship was made up of representatives from the Borough, Town and County Councils, the Citizens Advice Bureau, Rideghill Housing Association, local Schools, churches, health organisations, and local residents. Hertsmere Primary Care Trust joined in 2001. By 2002 it has developed into two bodies; BCP Council, a membership of local organisations both voluntary and statutory, and the Borehamwood Community Project Ltd, the financial monitoring group
