The Bayou Bandits are formally known as the Breaux Bridge Braves. The team consist of amateur (18 and over) players from Breaux Bridge, Lafayette, Carencro, Catahoula, St. Martinville and Baton Rouge. The Braves began play in 2000, and are getting ready for the 2008 season. The Braves were 5 time Champions (2001-2004, 2007) of the Acadiana Amateur Baseball League, based in Lafayette, Louisiana.
