The Battlefield Church of Faith was founded by Pastors Jim and Lisa Smith. In 1993 Jim and Lisa were joined in Holy matrimony and joined a local Church of God. Jim and Lisa worked as youth ministers and lead the youth choir. In 1998 Pastor Jim and lisa began giving away Bibles....to anyone who wanted one. This ministry later included a radio ministry ( Jesus First Ministries ). The ministry grew to include marriage, family and financial counseling, the distribution of food, clothes and furniture to the needy, as well as a 24-hour prayer line. In 1999, Jim and Lisa were called out of the Church of God denomination to pioneer Battlefield Church of Faith. It was during a tent revival that they held in Ringgold, GA that the Lord spoke to the to plant roots in this area and that the church’s purpose was to reach out to those that have fallen between the cracks of today’s churches. For the first 6 months the ministry was located in a house donated to the ministry until the Lord lead a trustee of a “closed church” to offer them their old church building (with pews, class-rooms, fellowship Hall, nursery, etc. ) for take over payments. The amount owed on the new building was within a couple hundred dollars of what was owed on the house they wer in... GLORY TO GOD. They Lord blessed them with 3 times the building for the same debt. Pastor Jim and Lisa believe the Lord (through a vision) showed them that only through an interdenominational and Interracial church can the Holy Ghost move in his fullest power. Our only requirement for membership is that you are saved, a born again child of God. All other imperfections, God will correct in time.
