Title
The World Famous Batley Frontier Variety Club, Batley - West Yorkshire, UK: Venue of Legends
Description
The established Frontier Club was bought in 2005 by a consortium of successful Yorkshire businessmen, headed by entrepreneur Stephen Battye who is the company chairman, Neil Fahey, property developer, restauranteur, and commercial director for Dewsbury Rams who is Managing Director, and directors Mark Sawyer, Andrew Farrow and Richard Binks – who all have business interests in the Batley area. Day to day running of the club is left to operations director John Hill, formerly of the Headingley Experience.
The Frontier Club, which in 2006 is celebrating its Silver Jubilee, is open from Thursday to Sunday, and the club has re-introduced live variety entertainment from Monday to Wednesday, under the name of Batley Variety Club Nights and has already attracted such big names as Brian McFadden, Paddy McGuinness and the Stylistics back to the Club.
The Club is currently developing plans to use the venue for conferences, presentations, private fund-raising nights and local award ceremonies, in a bid to regenerate the Bradford Road corridor and attract new business opportunities to the area.
