Barloworld is a diversified industrial company founded in 1902. We manufacture, market and distribute our products and services and market and distribute leading international brands on behalf of principals. We have operations in thirty-one countries around the world and approximately half of our twenty five thousand people are in South Africa. We offer our customers business solutions backed by leading industrial brands, supported by service, relationships and attention to detail. These include both the sale of products and services and rental and fleet service options. Through our business philosophy of Value Based Management we focus on creating sustainable value for all our stakeholders simultaneously.
Our brands include PPC Surebuild (cement), Plascon, Taubmans, Bristol and White Knight (coatings), Robor (steel tube), Melles Griot (photonics), Sterilin (disposable plastics) and Carbolite (laboratory products). We also have a rapidly growing Barloworld Logistics supply chain solutions business in southern Africa and Europe.
