Allan Bamforth’s first experience in land surveying was working on his father’s survey crew. His parents, Chester A. Bamforth and Helen S. Bamforth, started their land surveying firm in 1943 serving the Tidewater, Virginia area until it ceased operations in 1970. Allan and Linda Bamforth opened their firm in Norfolk in 1977.
