Back of Beyond is an outdoor adventure company based in Canmore, Alberta, Canada. Canmore is a small town at the gateway to Banff, Kootenay, Yoho and Jasper National Parks, and to Kananaskis Country and Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. We offer small group walking and hiking adventures that range from luxurious accommodations to backcountry campgrounds, and from half-day nature walks to eight-day treks.
We offer our programs year round with snowshoeing, backcountry skiing, canyon ice walks, and moonlight excursions in the Winter, and hike-and-shoe trips in the spring. These unique adventures are open to people of all ages and abilities through our regular, custom, and family programs.
As a local company, we provide friendly, professionally certified interpretive guides who are local to this area. Our guides have a passion for the guiding lifestyle and have not only hiked and climbed extensively in this region, but have studied the natural and human history. They delight in sharing their passion for the Rockies, and will immerse you in our local culture, entertain you with anecdotes, and welcome your many questions.
