Description
The Harold B. Lee Library offers more than plush chairs and warm sunlight for reading. The 665,000-square-foot building hosts approximately 10,000 patrons every weekday who peruse the 98 miles of shelving contained inside.
Mark Davies, a professor of linguistics and self-proclaimed “word nut,” has created an online searchable index of English that can help non-natives around the globe master the language, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.
Beginning Fall Semester 2006, BYU will resume student programs on a limited basis at the Center for Near Eastern Studies in Jerusalem. Accepted students will visit Biblical and historical sites and learn about ancient and modern Near Eastern history.
