Description
The company was founded in July of 2000 as a project management firm focusing on software design and implementation projects. Over time, based on its ability to manage, coordinate, and execute successful projects, clients began to request broader service offerings. Since then, Axista has gained experience successfully managing and coordinating mergers and acquisitions, business process re-engineering, financial analysis, new product launches, sales, and change management efforts.
Through these experiences, the Axista team recognized that communication infrastructure was vital to project success. Since project success is vital to business success, the team developed the Xcolla™ application to support its management services.
As the application matured, the management team made a decision counterintuitive to most schools of software thought. Rejecting the notion that more is better, the scope of the application was purposely narrowed to include only those functions used by 80% of Axista's clients. The choice was made to deliver value to clients by reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO) of the software.
