I guess I have to start this newsletter with a heartfelt apology. I have not been able to send a newsletter for December or January due to time constraints, and I gotta tell you February was not looking too good either. However in light of recent events I felt I had to at least let you know something of what is going on. Unfortunately because of the rapidity in which things are happening, this may even be out of date before you receive it.
Well Stormpay have certainly thrown a spanner in the works haven't they. Much has been said and written over the past couple of weeks about this issue. It is obvious that the whole issue arose because of some issue with 12dailypro. They then decided to turn their attention to many other autosurf programs, and without any warning not only suspended their accounts, but also denied them any access to them. They then proceeded to issue statements to all Stormpay members in which they lied about a number of issues. The first lie was that they asked the webmasters concerned to explain their business model. An outright lie!! None of the webmasters concerned were ever approached by Stormpay, and when they in turn tried to contact Stormpay on this issue they were denied access. Tickets were not replied to, and phones not answered. The next lie was that "some of these programs had already reached the upside down point and were unable to meet their obligations” or words to that effect. Another lie!! How could they possibly know what the financial state of any of these programs was? They would have absolutely no idea. They did not look into my bank account, (and if they had they would have found nothing, because I very quickly moved those funds to another account) but they certainly looked into my Stormpay account, and they would have noticed that there were ample funds there to meet my obligations. I suggest from the timing of their attacks, that most other webmasters were in the same position. Accounts full of funds in order to make payouts. Of course we all know what happened then. They started doing chargebacks to and from the accounts of these webmasters, and their members, (which is going to cause an accounting nightmare if we ever get our accounts re-instated). You can make your own judgement as to whose account all these funds ended up in. I could go on and on about this issue. It has caused a lot of anger, distress, and financial hardship to thousands of people all around the world. I better move on before I say something that I might regret.
Can the Autosurf industry survive after this? My honest answer to this is I don't know. Some might say this is the cleanout the industry needed. I would have to disagree with that, as the programs chosen to have their accounts suspended were for the most part, the most reliable and paying sites. Every day, even now, we see new sites popping up, so my guess is the scammers will still be around, and of course if they are set up as a scam in the beginning, they will have nothing to lose by another incident such as this. We have a number of previously reliable sites already closed, and don't be surprised if there are more in the coming months.
