- A major update is underway. It includes some significant improvements that should make this site more useful to anyone conducting genealogy or historical research. Several actions are included in the update. The improvements include: 1) Inclusion of a significant amount of obituary-derived data missing from June 2001 to September 2002. (Since Sept. 2002, all obituary data from the Aurora Beacon News had been included); 2) Expansion of all date entries to include month and day, when available; 3) Addition of listings for Riverside cemetery (a complete database through 2003 has been provided by Cecil Pigott --- Thanks Cecil); 4) Consistency in how grave location entries are made, i.e., Section, Block, Lot, Row, Grave, regardless of cemetery, and 5) inclusion of missing Spring Lake Cemetery data from 1996 through 2001. The update is being introduced in stages, i.e., surname page order. At this time, pages "A" through "Fi-Fz" have been completed, i.e., the main surname search pages and all subordinate family surname pages. Be patient, this update in a major undertaking and will take time to complete. Surname search pages will be updated as quickly as time permits.
