About AUFS

The Adelaide University Film Society was founded in 1996 by Kirsten Kennington and Esther Speight. For a low, low cost we provide our members with free films on a weekly basis and a forum for discussing all things film-related (and perhaps, not-film-related).

Films are usually followed by impromptu social happenings to which all members are invited. There is also an email discussion list to which any member can contribute their opinions, thoughts, last dying words etc.

Besides our main weekly screenings, we hold occasional video days and numerous other social events throughout the year, including very cheap (yet orgiastic) weekends away at the beach or in the hills…
