The 10 watt attic vents typically move a maximum of 850 CFM airflow, which is only adequate to ventilate about 840-1200 square feet of attic space. Since most people have homes that are larger than 1200 square feet, it is necessary to install multiple vents to meet the ventilation requirements for your home.
The larger 20 watt attic vents are rated to move a maximum of 1250 CFM of airflow. These units are adequate to ventilate roughly 1200-1800 square feet of attic space.
