Adapcom, Inc. was started as a special project under Landmark Technology, Inc. on January 1998. The project targeted development of ADSL and ATM edge router/switching products for the broadband access network technology. As we saw the Internet access for SOHO (small office/ home office), ROBO (remote office/ branch office) and end users becoming the fastest growing and healthiest segment of the telecommunication market, we decided to spin off the project and form a privately funded California corporation in August of 1998. The company's technical team has solid Silicon Valley experience in hardware, device drivers, and communication software. Therefore, we have uniquely positioned ourselves to be a formidable ATM/ADSL network technology provider with integrated and cost-effective complete communication products for Internet and SOHO/ROBO customers.
