The Atlanta Pops - An Adventure in Music! Albert Coleman established his first Atlanta Pops Orchestra in 1945 and led that ensemble for 55 years through concert appearances in Atlanta and throughout the southeast. The Atlanta Pops, now under the direction of John Head, is expanding its role in music making by actively seeking more corporate, community, school and touring opportunities. The orchestra performs a wider variety of programs and will accompany guest artists while continuing to feature its own soloists.
