About Us
Athlone Extrusions Ltd is a privately owned, independent sheet extruder and compounder. The core business of Athlone Extrusions is the manufacture of extruded sheets and film in polystyrene, ABS and Acrylic Capped ABS. The modern manufacturing facility is located in Ireland, in the town of Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
A factory space of some 14000 sq. metres houses the masterbatch and compounding division, containing seven compounding extruders, and the extrusion division, which has fifteen sheet and film lines, all with co-extrusion or multi-layer capability. The resulting plant capacity is 28,000 tonnes p.a.
Since its foundation in 1971 the company has had an impressive growth record as a supplier to the semi-finished goods industry. This has been achieved through continuous investment in the production facility supported by the key objective of the company to provide an efficient order delivery service in bespoke sizes and colours. The in-house colour-matching department has been specifically tailored to reduce lead-times and costs, enabling a fast turnaround from colour assessment to order delivery.
