In 2009 the Assisi community celebrates its 20th anniversary. More than two decades ago, I dreamt of bringing together a group of contemporary experts from many disciplines, to discuss the confluence of matter and spirit. In 1989, the dream became a reality and our first conference was convened in Assisi, Italy, one of the spiritual centers of the Western world.
