ASNET-AM was created in 1994. The structure and policy of ASNET-AM operation was developed and realized by the Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems (IIAP) of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (NAS RA). The administration of ASNET-AM is located in the Presidium of the NAS RA. By the decision of the Presidium of NAS RA the ASNET-AM Network Council and ASNET-AM Network Administration is responsible for administration and the development of the network.
