Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists
Description
The Federal Executive assists in the formation of local branches of the society throughout Australia and will publish any material considered desirable for the promotion of its objectives.
The ASEG's main activities are publication of the technical journal Exploration Geophysics and the bi-monthly magazine Preview and occasional Special Publications. The ASEG organises a Geophysical Conference and Exhibition every 18 months. The ASEG also conducts continuing education courses and supports research in exploration geophysics.
The ASEG has a Research Foundation which helps fund specific research projects at Australian tertiary institutions. Up to $5,000 can be made available to help pay research costs incurred by each project.
