- I began my art career many years ago at the age of 10. I was chosen to attend the prestigest training at the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh, PA as a Tam O' Shanter by my 5th grade art teacher, Mr. Masaro, who saw an artistic talent in me. This program was attended by many other famous Pittsburgh artists over the years, however the most well known, off hand would be, Andy Warhol. I studied in Oakland at the Museum every Saturday for 4 years under the close watch of the acclaimed Mr. Joseph Fitzpatrick. Mr. Fitzpatrick was one of Andy Warhol’s instructors also. I was selected to continue my art training at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA through the Pre-College Art Program for the next 4 years. This was an incredible experience and honor to study all different mediums of art with some our top University Art Professors and Artisans in the country at such a young age. I had the opportunity to work in the best studios and walk along with other college students. I had all the equipment that I needed right there and expert direction from one of our top University campuses, more than anyone at my age could ever dream of. I graduated the Pre-College Art Program the same year I graduated High School, however I feel I graduated a whole lot more of life at that point. I continued on to college at Indiana University of PA. In my later years, I studied glass at Pittsburgh’s premier glass school, Pittsburgh Glass Center. A state-of-the-art glass school devoted to the development and teaching of glass art. I believe that I never stop learning, it’s the progression of life.
