The leading exponent of what has come to be know as the Romanian Automatica School, Carmen Bara originally studied to degree level at the faculty of control engineering during the Ceausescu regime. After the fall of communism, freedom came to Carmen Bara in the form of the opportunity to study fine art at the Romanian Academy of Art.
