Why build a Website for Arthur Lloyd? Well, despite his considerable fame only 100 or so years ago, Arthur Lloyd is largely forgotten today. Even a search on the internet, normally a haven of knowledge, will be surprisingly unrewarding.
Over the years I have collected various items relating to his life, including press cuttings, programmes, posters and original song sheets. As his great grandson I have long felt the need to let them reach a wider audience. Then along came the Internet and finally here was the place I could help bring Arthur Lloyd and his entire Theatrical Family back into the public consciousness.
The Website also allows me to indulge my interest in Theatre Architecture and you will find a great deal of information here on Theatres and Music Halls throughout the UK, many of them long ago demolished.
