ArtWatch UK is part of the international monitoring and campaigning organisation ArtWatch International which was founded in 1992 to protect the integrity of works of art from increasingly ambitious and injurious restoration/conservation treatments. We seek, also, to establish a right of access to records of restoration treatments and interventions carried out in publicly supported museums, galleries and other institutions.
