Masjid Wazir Khan: A Photo-Essay

The Masjid Wazir Khan is an island of calm within the dust and chaos of Lahore's inner city. Centuries old, it has seen wars, invasions and the riots of Partition. I was inspired to create this photoessay by the photo of the smiling boy surrounded by fluttering pigeons, symbolising to me how the mosque has stood with grace and calm through the tumult of the years.
