RosaSecta was a project that I [the owner] had going on for the last year and three months. Collectively I put well over 2000 hours of work developing it and building the community. This website was started from scratch, completely independant, but it was quickly growing and I needed to switch hosts. My ad payment hadn't arrived yet, and the money was coming in pretty slow. So what did I do to keep my dream alive? I shared a hosting account with "PickleMan." Of course this caused a lot of trouble, but it kept rosa alive. Rosa was doing great, activity was on the rise, it had an extremely tight knit community, and v6 was in development. The version that finally got things right. Now one day "PickleMan" deleted half of rosa, a bunch of submissions disappeared, and important script files disappeared entirely. That's how the last year and three months of my life went to waste. artFrost was designed to replace rosa, this time without an idiot owning the host.
Losing Rosa was almost like losing a child. After putting all of that work and effort into it over the course of a year and three months, just when it's beginning to peak and show it's potential, it dies. In fact I've already gone through the 5 stages of grief.
Many have suggested that I should take legal action against "PickleMan," but in the end I believe in the words of the Great Gandhi. "An eye for an eye and the world goes blind." Instead of actually doing anything and breeidng more hate, I'm letting "PickleMan" do what he wants, as it won't bring Rosa back. Either way the damage has already been done. Instead of trying to mess with him, I'm just going to let artFrost flourish in RosaSecta's place.
