Two separate wrecks occurred within minutes of each other Nov. 19, around 7:15 a.m., on Highway 62/412, two miles west of Viola. Jackie Owens, 42, of Viola was air lifted to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home after the 1997 F-150 pickup he was driving failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center line and struck a tree in the northern ditch of the highway.
