Robert C. Ransom is a retired consultant in formation evaluation through the use of well-log analysis. Formerly he was Senior Research Associate in Formation Evaluation for UNOCAL Corporation's research center at Brea, California. He graduated in 1951 with a B. E. Degree in Chemical Engineering from the School of Engineering at Yale University. He is an Honorary Member of the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA). He joined Schlumberger Well Surveying Corp.
