About The Arc JacksonvilleOur HistoryThe Arc Jacksonville began more than forty years ago by parents seeking opportunities for their children with mental retardation. Because public schools were not then available to these children, we originally provided educational opportunities. But as public education became available to all people, The Arc Jacksonville changed and expanded its services, which are described on this Web site.
