- Hilary Apple became Hilary the Pet Sitter in January 2002. Initially, she ran every aspect of the business, from performing the administrative tasks to meeting all the clients and performing all the pet sitting, 7 days a week, morning, noon, and night. As she grew the business, Hilary brought in additional help, at first for the busy holiday season, and now year-round, and then became Apple a Day Personal Pet Care. Before running Apple a Day, Hilary gained work experience by working in veterinary clinics, at the front desk and in the kennel.
