Anycake.com is a company based in Derry City, Northern Ireland, & has been supplying Computerised Cake Design equipment to the bakery trade, & shop retailers since July 1999.
The concept of printing any image or photograph on a cake is relatively new. When the first systems became available only a few years ago, they proved to be unaffordable to most bakeries as the systems started at a price of around £15,000 Sterling. A bakery would have to sell a lot of cakes to justify these set-up costs ! Our system is not only the most inexpensive on the market to purchase, but also is the most economic in running costs. The average cost of a print including edible ink & an A4 icing sheet would be around 99p. The quality of the designed prints are second to none...... it is extremely close to photographic quality, considering we are using edible paper (also know as 'icing sheets' or 'frosting sheets'), & not photographic paper. Just have a look at one of our cakes and the proof is there.
The products we supply have proved to be very successful as the price is very affordable even for the smallest bakery who may not be selling a large number of cakes. In our experience we have found that a bakery can easily treble its cake sales in 4-6 weeks of using this system. Marketing the new system is extremely simple, & costs very little. First of all, put a few dummy cakes on display in the bakery/retail shop. After that 'word of mouth' takes over, and cake sales are dramatically increased.
