What did it take to build one of the most successful motion graphics companies in the United States? Dozens of high paid animators toiling about high-tech computer equipment in an expensive production facility? Hundreds of high powered meetings by a large management team? No, it took one woman, in one small garage apartment, with one big idea.
It all started with an end. The end of a promising professional bowling career cut short by injury. Diana Teeters was forced to shift her drive and focus in a new direction. Inspired by what she perceived was lacking in the field of motion graphics, and drawing from her background in computer science, Diana redirected her athletic competitive edge into a creative one.
It wasn’t going to be enough to be just be another provider of motion graphics. Her products would have to be different, more affordable and easier to use. Diana created TriLab Productions, affectionately named after her three Labrador retrievers, in 2000 and, shortly after, the first Digital Hotcakes went into the mixing bowl.
