Appraisers National Association
Description
Excerpted from the website:
- Appraisers National Association was founded in 1982 by David Long, President of the College for Appraisers. The objective was to provide graduates of the College with an association that would ensure continued emphasis on the principles and ethics of personal property appraising, and offer opportunities for further education. In 1986, the Association was formally established with a Board of Directors charged with providing for the continuing education of its membership, the development of professional fellowship, the oversight and development of appraisal standards, and the ongoing exchange of information among its professional and associate members. The association was incorporated under the name of Research and Appraisal Associates, dba Appraisers National Association (ANA), in 1996, and granted non-profit status by both State and Federal Governments in 1997.
