- All of the new quilts are hand quilted by experienced Holmes County area quilters. Amish and Mennonite women sew the pieced quilt tops but do not applique - we are fortunate to have American women of Hmong descent who sew the appliqued tops, having learned this exquisite handwork from their mothers and grandmothers and adapted it to American applique patterns. Our aim is to offer only the finest quilts.
