Born in Belgium. Raised in Belgium. 9 hours of mathematics and half as much of Latin weekly soon bored the hell out of me, but family pressure made me continue till I got my A-levels (read Belgian equivalent of A-levels). When my school rewarded me with that PoS paper, I was already working since some years in a nightclub as a waiter. Which made me decide to go for the big wothless Belgian Franks instead of going to university.
Due to my family name life in Belgium was very ‘restricted’ for me. All over I was ‘watched’ and soon after my A-Levels I left that little country. Travelled the four corners of Europe, while mainly working as a bartender.
Someday, after having lived in The Netherlands, France and Spain, I got stuck in Germany. 4 years of my life I lived in Nordrhein-Westfalen, at first in Krefeld where I had my own bar, afterwards in Cologne, where I worked for one of the best cocktail bars in Germany, Lotte Haifisch Bar.
