Founded in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1980 American HealthNet has for the past twenty five years provided community healthcare organizations with enterprise information systems and clinical software solutions that are functionally powerful, yet easy to understand and use. More than 200 facilities - hospitals ranging in size from 15 to over 250 beds, surgery centers, physician clinics, medical laboratories, nursing homes and home health agencies - depend on our software to efficiently manage the critical information flows and decision processes required for quality, cost-effective patient care.

Because we focus on the community healthcare market our product team take into account the varying levels of internal IT support at clients’ facilities. In addition, our product, implementation and support teams have real-life healthcare management or clinical experience. The result is that our software has an intuitive, familiar feel that enables users to master the applications quickly. It is not unusual for an American HealthNet client to save hundreds of hours of training time (compared to other software) when implementing our enterprise solution.

Our clients receive a major upgrade of the software at least twice in a year so that every client operates the latest version at all times. This is included in the software support agreement. Many of the functional enhancements result from clients’ suggestions received at our annual user meeting or at other times throughout the year. We include top suggestions from each client in our quarterly development plans.
