Founded by a handful of women of the Just Us Girls (JUG) Club, the Amarillo Public Library has been serving the residents of Amarillo for over 100 years. From a small start of 123 books the library now has 5 locations with a varied collection that includes over half a million printed books as well as books on cassette tape, CDs, and MP3s; music cassettes and CDs; and VHS tapes and DVDs of movies, television programs and documentaries. Library programs take place almost daily.
