About Amagit.COM
Amagit.COM is a web technology site run by Joshua Schwarz. The main service offered at Amagit.COM is a search service. However, at the moment, the search engine is still growing. Through a distributed network, everyday people can download a small piece of software and run it in order to help to build the search index. The software simply downloads web pages, parses them, and then reports back to the main server with relevant data. The more people that contribute, the more relevant the search results will become. Therefore, Amagit.COM currently requires people that are willing to contribute to its distributed search engine project.
Joshua Schwarz has also created a Facebook application based on similar search engine technologies called the "Friend Search Engine." It can be found at fb.amagit.com.
