- There is an estimated 455,000 people living with Alzheimer’s disease in the State of Florida with approximately 155,000 of those individuals and their estimated 250,000 caregivers living in the service area covered by the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter. One of three people in our service area is a family member or friend of an Alzheimer’s patient.
