- Alchemy Design is neither a large corporation nor a sole proprietorship. What we are is an LLC assembled by Greg Garcia in 1998 and comprised of varying employees [as need dictates]. Garcia, who has been freelancing as a graphic artist for ten years (and who attended the Paier College of Art before computers had any role in art), teamed up with Krista Mazzaferro to form the core of the company. Mazzaferro, a UCONN graduate, had been creating web sites for several years and brought to the table not only great skill in HTML, ColdFusion, and site architecture, but excellent business skills as well.
