- I began to work with stone twenty five years ago building walls and stone houses in the West of Ireland. That wild rocky landscape was my art college and old stone masons my tutors. I have touched and shaped thousands of stones since then and each one has taught me something; - something about the shape and flow of the visible world, the flood of time through form. I grow intimate with each one I handle, be it a granite, its great broiling heat gone cold, or a limestone flecked with the fossils of an ancient sea-bed.
