- Bill Dimino has been designing and creating custom water features and fountains since 1978. Acquabella, the name he chose for his waterscape design and construction firm, is the Italian word for "beautiful water." Beginning in the late 1970's, he started to create water features from retired wine and whiskey barrels, which at the time, was a totally unique expression of a garden fountain. In fact, he obtained two U.S. Patents, one of which was for a "barrel fountain" and an example of which you see on display.
